Technical Specifications

8000-meter performance
The Guide Expedition Down Parka is the most technically complex insulation piece we’ve built. Developed with down specialists in the US and fabric innovators in Japan, it’s engineered for sustained exposure on 8000-meter peaks and in remote arctic environments. A 100% box-wall baffle construction eliminates cold spots, while generous amounts of responsibly sourced 900 FP down provide exceptional loft and resilience. The Dermizax® Ultralight 3-layer ripstop shell offers robust weather protection at minimal weight. With its oversized expedition fit, extended back, and deeply protective hood, it maintains impressive efficiency at 930 g in size medium with 345 g of down fill.
Build Your System™
Sitting at the top of the insulation hierarchy, this is the outermost warmth layer for severe cold and high-altitude use. It is designed to go over base, mid, and lighter insulation pieces, forming a complete barrier against prolonged exposure. Chosen when maximum protection, box-wall construction, and expedition-grade warmth are non-negotiable.
